Clear Lake’s bass are generally found in shallow water, around 10 feet or less, in regions that are simple to access. This lake may be the only northern California lake that produces more 3- to 7-pound bass than any other. Largemouth bass from the Florida strain thrives in the water, which is just 59 feet at its deepest point. It is warm and shallow compared to most deep, frigid reservoirs.
